Barefoot Photowalkers group (BFPW) was a culmination of an initiative started by a group of likeminded photography enthusiasts, from around the city of Gandhinagar, (in Gujarat) about an year ago. The group who were engaged in shooting in and around the popular locations, hit upon the idea of conceptualizing a photo exhibition after a visit to the site of the ruins of the Indroda Fort.  The location was so captivating and interestingly when the pictures were uploaded on the social networking site ‘Facebook’, the number of likes and comments from friends and well wishers was simply overwhelming. This got the group excited into some serious discussions which resulted in the idea of putting together of a photo exhibition, wherein hundreds of pictures depicting the city though inhabited yet still unexplored, was conceptualized.  The result – the unveiling of the group’s inaugural photo exhibition titled ‘Gandhinagar- seen but unexplored’, which is currently taking place at the ‘City Pulse Art Gallery’, in Gandhinagar, from 22 February to 2 March, 2013.
